What paid plans add

Evaluations (the AI review of whether each run achieved its goal), more agents and included events, longer retention, and more alert channels. The plans page has the numbers.

Upgrading

Upgrades are self-serve from the billing page and take effect immediately; billing starts at checkout. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current cycle. Your data is never touched by a plan change, in either direction.
